Richard Marquez is an award-winning educational administrator with over 40 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has taught middle school students and served as an assistant principal at the middle and high school levels. Richard has also held positions as a principal at both the elementary and high school levels, as well as an advisor to the Secretary of Education in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he is recognized as a national expert on dropout recovery and alternative schooling. For over a decade, Richard owned and operated a consulting company, working with schools across the country, particularly those facing significant challenges. He specialized in assisting failing schools, guiding teachers in how to develop students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In the last 10 years, Richard has served as CEO of a nonprofit organization that operated 14 dropout recovery high schools and a donation-based business, managing a budget of $60 million.
